Analyst predicts iPad price cut by Apple, unlikely!

If you are one of those who believe what Credit Suisse analyst Bill Shope predicts, then you sure aren’t buying an Apple tablet anytime soon. Expecting a strategy similar to the original iPhone in 2007 (a $200 price cut was seen just a couple of the month after the release of the 2G), it is now predicted that Apple might cut the iPad pricing, if the sales doesn’t live up to their expectations.IMO has given the $499 base pricing that the iPad sports, it would be foolish to expect any further cuts. In fact, it is being expected that Apple might charge a little more than $499 in most countries outside the US. The only possibility of a lower price iPad coming your way is carrier subsidies. With or without Apple backing, you might see some carriers bundling the iPad with data plans and offer you attractive $100 or $199 rates (see the Hutchison offer).
